Granted. The reason the high school group that didn't go on to a debt filled and constantly demanding lifestyle stayed behind is now crystal clear to you. While they did not feel the need to get a 4 year degree, they followed their interests and succeeded in life to be able to do what is important to them which is marry, raise a family, and support the community in a way they could never anticipate back in the day. Some are the Firemen, the EMTs, and the Law Enforcement Officers which take care of your family 24/7.

I wish people would appreciate the things they do have and not envy those with things they do not have.

Granted, but now society is in a disarrayed utopian state and life becomes extremely boring do to everyones satisfaction with their lives.

Almost And Then Granted. You had the end all of all wishes, but in an alternate universe...what you wished for has to be granted. Not only was it granted, but eons of wishes spewed forth and it caused a warp in time.

By sheer coincidence though, while Maxwellius is trying to hammer out the beat to order a #3 at the local burger joint he accidentally replicates an ancient beat that summons an ancient Aztec bird goddess, Crapzthecaralotl, who was legendary for being able to crush enemies in battle by doing to them what pigeons do to statues. Unfortunately for you, the avian goddess is over your convertible when it heeds the ancient call of nature. Your car is a pancake. They cannot even identify you by your dental records.

I wish shower/bath water was *always* just the right temperature.

Granted, but the water now comes out of the pipes at an extremely slow rate, never allowing you to be fully satisfied by the wonderful temperature of the water

Granted, but given the toxic nature of Zynnia7277's feet the falcon promptly drops dead. Unfortunately for you, the falcon was on the endangered species list and someone from this forum tipped off the authorities that you are the one responsible for all of this happening. You spend a year in prison and pay a $10,000 fine. On the plus side, you get to be a part of history as "The Birdman of Riker's Island." That makes you part of a rather rarefied, if infamous, fraternity.

I wish they'd get rid of those nudie scanners at the airports, since it has been proven they don't really work anyways.

Granted, they get rid of the nudie scanners at the airport but, do to a new law they now have brain scanners which gives them cancer

Granted, but the gems punch right through everyone's roofs like hailstones from hell. The property damage is immense, and those not in concrete reinforced structures are killed in the gem-storm.

I wish just for a day, people speaking bad words in real life would be bleeped just like on TV.
