Question about exactly what type of game this is?

Hi, I've just started playing this game...literally, I've been playing for about 30 minutes.

What I've seen so far I love. I've played Settlers 7 a lot and loved that game, so seeing this here now leads me to believe I will also love this game.

However...

There are some things I've come to expect from a lot of these Free To Play games, and though I've found some that do not have what I do not like, most do.

So my question is this.

Does this game have PVP? And if it does, does it affect my progression at all?

See, I'm not a fan of PVP. I'm not totally against it, and I can say I have enjoyed some PVP from time to time. What I don't like is for my game, my progression, my success to be dependent on whether or not other players are constantly attacking me or not!

Do I have to worry about that in this game? or can I play my game and enjoy it without worrying about uber players constantly attacking me?

Also, can I be successful in this game without purchasing anything will real world money? There have been other Free To Play games I've played, and if I like them enough I have no problem paying for an optional subscription and no problem purchasing extras, but I don't like it being a requirement for success.

no there is no pvp.

it should come out around the same time the mayans say we are all going to die which i think is 2040.


you can do well in this game without putting money in...

as you get further along you might want to put say 30 bucks in that is to get building licesness... everything else you can pretty much buy through other traders.

this game you can play at your own pace... no one is out to get you or will steal your stuff.

Oh....that is absolutely EXCELLENT!!!!

I am really glad to hear that...sounds like ubisoft has made this game exactly the way I like. I may be here for a while.

new player advice...

follow tutorial.. save gems for building licenses… then look at generals (they are pricey)… the other stuff you can get later like noble residences (increase population without taking building license.

If you have questions go to help tab… global 1 requires penicillin shots… when you get more developed and want to trade stuff (after level 17) head on over to global 2... it is where we do auctions…

Never spend gems on anything other than building licenses if you are never going to put money in…

Once a week you will get gems so you will get enough eventually without ever putting money in..
