My guess? Its Sunday (well officially Monday on East Coast) but I doubt any of the community managers are available to post. I don't doubt the technical staff is working on the problem but its not part of their job to deal with the players. Last time I remember this happening it wasn't on a Sunday night and we did get an update (eventually) on the login page which simply stated that servers would be down for an undefined period of time.
Which really didn't make anybody any happier then they are now with no update.
Fact of the matter is, game is broken. People are working to fix it. It will take as long as it takes and nobody can promise us any more then that.
Can I get cream and sugar in that coffee? Please......
