I LOL'ed reading all the frustrated responses here. I mean, c'mon people, it's just a game! I'm sure we'll get some great goodies from BlueByte after the server is back on, but we should accept them as a gift, not as "compensation" that we are owed for losing our playtime or playthings. Yeah, I lost an adventure too, but I'm not too stressed. I think I will actually read a book tonight and contemplate what my life was like before Settlers... mmm

Hey yea, it's like when the power goes out and the whole family gathers around a candle to play monopoly, and and and then the power comes back on and you turn the lights back off again so you can finish your awesome game of monopoly! ...........................

What is it with the "it's just a game" responses? Does anyone really believe that that is a valid argument to make?

What exactly do you mean by "it's just a game"?

Do you mean it's not real life so just STFU? Well everyone spend real time and effort and thought and forethought and some even real money to play this "game" so it is obviously real, so that explanation doesn't work

Do you mean it's not an important part of life because it's just a game? Well many people play games to relax and have fun, as a way to relieve stress and what not, and this is a very very important part of life. Some people read books, some people go camping, some people ride bikes, some people exercise, some people go out to bars, some people do combinations of all of those and more, and some people play video games in the mix. It is all a very very very important part of life, so that explanation doesn't work

There's something you need to realize. Just because someone has a different opinion/viewpoint does not make their opinion/viewpoint wrong. You need to realize that your point of view is unique as is everyone else's and if you need to insist that people start "understanding that it's just a game" then you need to realize what a game really is and why it matters to other people.

Having said that, I believe that BB wants to keep their players happy and wants to fix the problems as best they can with the least hardships possible and that we have to be patient. I am pissed off that they have decided to roll back the server because that fix will fix the problem of the few while creating great hardships and frustrations for EVERYONE! The only reason I would go along with that is if BB had no other alternative, and I would need to believe they had no other alternative.

It means that however far they rollback you've lost in time and effort. but in the end, it's still just a game. Why do I picture you as the type of person who throttles the other team's coach for a little league game because your team lost? Just think. you invest all that time and effort in training and practicing and they just go and lose. clearly it's not your fault that they lost, the other team must have cheated. the ref's blind. any excuse that makes it not your fault. And why? Because you refuse to accept it's just a game. You've set some weird self-goal achievement for the game that makes you feel empowered and when it's taken away from you, you cry like a little girl. Wah Wah Waaaaaah....

it wasnt bad at all..... i dont like the reply you got, people need to grow up and see that their opinion isnt the only one that matters! especially in a game like this where there are players from all over the world.... its unfortunate when people turn to name calling and assumtions (i too am guilty of this on a few occations, after i was provoked lol) which again, is simply unfortunate....

but you haven't explained what you mean by it's just a game! Essentially your entire post was a repeat of the "it's just a game" meme without answering any of the questions I asked or countering any of the points I made.

BTW, if you knew me you would know I am one of the calmest and most rational people out there. I don't anger easily, far from it. I've even been accused of being too nice and too forgiving. You should also read some of my other posts on this topic before making snap judgements.

So once again I will ask, what do you mean by "it's just a game"? Please be specific this time and answer the question!

Well this might be it for me with this game. No PVP still and now this! I was semi-quit from the game but I still logged on when I could. I am tired of waiting for PVP, tired of annoying bugs and now a "rollback". A "rollback" could mean anything and clearly Ubisoft is not elaborating on this action. Rollback to what point in the game??? Rollback to when I was level 23, 33, 43? When? Rollback to a point in the game when I used 20k granite to upgrade to lvl 5s? Utter nonsense to say the least. I want a refund from all of my money spent on gems since I started playing.....call it a "rollback refund"!

When I am a dissatisfied consumer, I simply stop buying that product and switch to another. When I receive poor customer service, I simply switch to another company providing better customer service. This is unacceptable...time to switch.
