Lol.. Thanks Galaxia... But atleast everyone gotten a Honest answer from meesherbeans which is better then nothing at all.. I can't lie and say I'd be happy, cuz I would be very discouraged and feel a sense of hopelessness....but...................... if that does happen there is really nothing I can do about other than start over and rebuild........ lol. Just an opinion.....! Maybe they got hacked?? Or got a virus in the servers (it would explain why it takes so long to fix it and the necessity of rolling back/restore to an earlier time)....
This reminds of when I would be trying to bring up a system and most of my bosses were software engineers and reasonable we had some losers with no real programming experience. And in order to sit down and draft an explanation of what was wrong and how far I had gotten I would have to STOP FIXING THE SYSTEM TO WRITE THE REPORT. Then of course the ones that could understand the report weren't the ones bugging me and the ones bugging me didn't undertand. I had one of them attempt to pull me out a second time after stopping the fixing to write the report he wanted to have me stopped again from fixing the problem so I could explain the report to him (give him a 4 year comp sci degree in an afternoon and then teach him unix berkeley and system V) but it was stopped in time.
But actually I think I can give a credible report.. they found a lot more wrong then they thought, every time they fix one thing it clears up the picture enough to find two more things wrong, they are working a lot of hours, they are existing on soda and those peanut butter filled cheese crackers from the vending machine known as 'programmer chow', they've had to unroll the sleeping bags left in the utilities room to take naps under their desks because they cant think any more and because their bosses wont let them go home, and they would really really like to fix the problem as soon as possible before they get divorced and even their cats leave them.
I've seen it before Verdaeni, too true.
Sadly, I have also been asked to write reports when trying to fix things.. but it always seemed reasonable to expect some timeframe (hours, a day, multiple days..)
