Not entirely true, some people lost dark or light castles, adventures they were running or adventures they had found or other such items.
You are right though, they owe us nothing, however to keep our "goodwill" they will want to makes some reparations.
zeusw - you are wrong, some people DID lose stuff. For example, the adventure I had previously completed turned into a fail during the rollback somehow. And the idea that they can do whatever they want and there is nothing we can do about it is false. If everyone stops playing, the game goes belly up. As you pointed out, it's a game, and if BB makes it no longer fun, then who will play? The compensation is to keep the people that are on the fence about staying. I happen to be one of those people. If the compensation is going to put me in a position to continue playing without having to play catch up just to get back to where I already was once, then I will keep playing. If not, I won't. Not terribly complicated.
