I like the TM at the end...
I like the TM at the end...
Exactly... I lost 24 lvl 4 building upgrades (12K gc/576 hours of lost production time/ +7K marble) .. at 2K gems a pop.. to get me "back up to speed" would cost like 48K gems..
And I'm only now back at the point I was in XP before the rollback.. having lost 150K!!!
The more active higher lvl players lost out big time over lower lvl inactive players. A blanket compensation offer is unfair as some will gain from it whilst others will still not recoupe their losses.
Here's the thing, we all play the game on a level playing field but the rollback has affect some more than others hence, no longer an equal playing field...
Well you need to get your procedures and instructions straight... I was specifically instructed not to put in any further Support Contact Forms about problems with the game (2 were sent) and that everything would be taken care of as soon as possible!
You did a roll back and did not even inform us as to the actual amount of time that was involved in the roll back so that your customers could compare their own records to see what financial transactions were or could have been affected.
How anyone is suppose to figure out in game financial effects that may have affected real money Gem transactions and inventory amounts without any available Player accessible records for purchases and trades made is beyond me!
I have not received any specific response or compensation from: your parent company, your company's partners, your technical support, or the any of the other Blue Bite or Ubisoft staff.
You have not posted how or what form of compensation will take place or when it will occur. Nor do you provide what exactly is eligible for compensation or the proper method of documentation and submission for it -- assuming that compensation even occurs at some point.
Are you telling me now that it is up to us to see to it that you are informed about what you have taken from me and other players that paid real money?
Am I to believe that you have no records or knowledge of such transactions that took place?
One word: INCREDABLE
Please understand one thing: The burden to either provide the goods or services paid for or fully compensate those persons that purchased goods or services in a timely manner is on YOU not your customers -- the Players of The Settlers Online...
Failure to do this in an adequate and timely manner may in fact constitute Wire and/or Internet Fraud by any or all of the Parties involved.

P.S. Per your instructions a third and specific Support Contact Form has been submitted.
P.S.S. Based upon the information you provide about The Settlers Online, I invested large amounts of real US Dollars in this game because of three factors: 1) to catch up and level quickly to be able to play advanced game features; 2) to help Friends; and 3) to make a financial commitment towards announced improvements in the game and its play... I am now unable to do any of those things at this moment until the above issues and known problems are resolved by your staff.

At the very least
1. go over the banking transactions and restore any gem purchases point forward from rollback date.
2. provide some resource packages and maybe a unique building like the friary.
3. give credit for activity bonuses regardless point forward from rollback date.
3. get a better database backup and restoration method. hourly log backups to ensure a rollback will have logs to playback into the database once corruption issues are identified and resolved.
