No obviously you cant put an invite in trade tab the deal must be worked out in global chat. There does not seem to be a rule against invites to a new friend though just that you cant trade with them by sending personal trades. Anything with that person has to go through the trade tab.
However if there was not so many taking advantage and basically stealing from players with bogus trades or trying to sneak a trade through to cheat players there would of been no reason to do this..cheats and thieves always ruin it for the rest.
The new trade rule is dumb, 24 hours and you and I can trade, lets do this fast
