Bob acted like a normal hardworking settler but he had a terrible secret. Bob only showed his true self on Halloween night. Every Halloween, he turned into a terrible monster and searched for his next victim. Tim was Bob's best friend but did not know his secret. Bob and Tim loved Halloween because they got a day off work. Bob worked at the pumpkin fields and Tim worked at the sawmill. Some settlers claimed they were sick the day before Halloween to have an extra day to decorate. Bob was one of those people. Tim on the other hand thought it was terrible to do that. On Halloween Bob was home until he turned into that terrible monster. At that time, he got on his horse and rode into the dark woods. The screams that night lingered in the black sky and Tim decided to go over to Bob's house to see if he was ready to go to the island Halloween party. He walked over to Bob's house and noticed the back door was wide open and the horse was gone. Tim walked through the front door to find pumpkin heads sitting all around with greedy looking eyes that stared right at him. He walked past the pumpkins slowly and soon noticed the eyes followed him. He thought to himself that if he kept going he would find Bob. Tim walked out the back door searching for Bob and all of a sudden he heard a loud noise coming from the woods behind Bob's house. Tim walked toward the woods to find a headless horseman holding a sword. The horse turned toward Tim and charged. Tim had no time to get out of the raging horse's path. At the spot where Tim had been standing was a pumpkin head with greedy looking eyes just like the one he had seen in Bob's house. Tim's disappearance is still a mystery to the other settlers. Bob still roams the woods selecting one victim every Halloween night.
