Production weirdness - anyone have experienced this?

I'm trying to create self-sufficient coal production chain...so i'm building up pine cutters/foresters capacity. Here's the issue: i got enough coal, pinewood in storage so there's no idleing due to lack of resources. I started with 25k pinelogs.... i stopped enough cokers to achieve near-balanced production (only cokers use pinewood on the island)... after 12 hours i had 24,700 pinelogs.... so... i have built an 1 extra lvl 3 cutter and 1 extra lvl 3 forester...that surely should tip the balance to my stock should turn into positive production....yet after another 12 hours my stock was 24,300...like nothing have changed... like adding these 2 buildings didnt do anything... what could it be? is my island just bugged?

Do you have enough foresters? If trees are getting knocked down and not replaced, your cutters will have to walk a greater distance to find trees which they can harvest. That will gradually slow down their production time, so even if your log production looks to be balanced it can get shifted out of balance over time. If your foresters are in balance with the rest, then I'm not sure what's up :-/

i thought about that...but unless that's a display bug, forests almost always show some pinewood (non "0")... and i don't see settlers having to walk a distance to get pine...as well as production times indicate very short routes (8-12 seconds one way average)... on that note, the Economy Overview is also wildly inaccurate - shows a rather big prod surplus....

Hey there i`m seeing the exact same thing my numbers off pineloggs are dropping but i have surplus of 1979 pinelogs within 12 hours but still my loggs drop.... iff that isnt a bug then some 1 is steeling from my inventory ;-)

Somehow, my forests are stable, but the economy overview says they should be shrinking rapidly.
