I did my "something meaningful" for the day. Now I'm home from work and want to have fun. This is the metaphorical equivalent of having a door slammed in your face... and your attitude is like having it done repeatedly.

stop responding to roy, hes an ***, hes always been an ***, responding to him does no good at all. i will say tht i was fairly drunk when i 1st posted this thread, put my gold mine to sleep, and went on w my halloween party. tht bein said, i have to agree tht the unusual timing of the maint, and the lack of forewarning of the timing of the maint, is rather annoying. had i not happened to bounce into my room when i did, i would not have seen the messages in guild chat about the impending server shut down, and would have lost quite a bit in unbuffed gold production. i personally feel the scheduled maintenance should be posted on the main page where we log in from 24 hrs before the start of said maint. is that so much to ask of a multi-billion dollar company?

We have asked before that if there was a NEED for maintenance outside the regular schedule, that we be notified through all available media 24 hours in advance. That happened exactly twice.
This game has no consideration for the US players, we are ALWAYS an afterthought.

You want a 24 hours notice that they are going to roll back the game for 24 hours. I'd much rather have a game that was FIXED and working correctly. The points about communication lagging are valid though. After all, how long does it take to post a facebook notice or a twitter notice. Even an in-game warning should only take a few minutes, and I only want a 15 minute notification of critical maintenance IN-GAME, so I can stop running adventures and not suffer unnecessary losses.

I do think that in game TIME should stop during the maintenance period though.
