As I awake on this day of thanks, I am first thankful for the endless sun, except for one brief time in October. How the sun never goes away baffles my mind, but I am thankful that there is no rain. Speaking of rain, I am thankful for the crops that can grow without rain. Impossible you say? Not on this magical island. Looking out my window I am reminded to be thankful for the large amount of strong clones that seem to populate this island. Why do they all look the same? They must all be related. Oh, there goes a deer and beside it a wolf. This makes me give thanks to the wolves who never seem to attack the men or the deer here. They could take over this island if they wanted, but they seem content to just wander in and out of battles and construction sites. And lastly, as I set to work, I am thankful for the few mines that did not fall during my sleep and do not need rebuilding because rebuilding them is the most tedious job there is on this island, except for having to rebuild my fields when they also fall.

Dear Cousin Davey,
I am thankful this year for many things. With help, we have successfully cleared the island of all bandits. Mary was tough, but she no longer threatens us. We have a pirate hut on our island, but the pirates there are friendly and have never caused any difficulty for anyone on the island. We routinely send expeditions out to find resources and new adventures. Though we loose some people on the adventures, they resources that are brought back help us to remodel buildings to make them more productive.
I am thankful that our mayor has built wisely and has taken time to make sure resources are available for all. The mayor keeps watch and builds whenever there is need and somehow magically doubles production to increase our bounty. We have plenty of brew, bread, and sausage and are able to make a modest living with our families. I even have time for quiet contemplation. I am the only person who works in my bakery. The peace of working alone gives me time to consider my future.
I hear that you have had some trouble on your island with Witches and High Dark Priests. I suggest that you and your family come join me on our island. We are always looking for new families to settle here and I know your ability to farm is always in need here.
I wish you well whatever you decide.
Soli Deo Gloria,
Nynaeve Seidler

My settlers and I are very happy for our prosperous island of natural wonders and that we have enough supplies that we can make it through the cold harsh world of war against bandits and natural preditors. But most of all the love that we all share on these wonderful holidays and happy gatherings.

As the first snow fallin ... Tom the settler knew winter is coming ...
After 9 month of struggling , lots of working ,effort and sacrifices , his family and some fellow settler finally clear out their island from bandit ..
That's the first thing he would like to thanks for ... in the coming Thanksgiving ..
A lot of things then came out in his mind , telling him how grateful he was for finally settle down in this island ...
So much help coming from the first day he and some of his fellow settlers landed here ...
Got a lot of great advice on how to build up the production line to fulfill all of their needs ...
Great crops from wheat fields to made out lots of bread and brew ... meat from hunters to made out a great and tasty sausages
Miner works hard to build up enough supply for the smelter and weaponry
In the middle of the year , the finally can hire a great general , to lead them take out the bandits from this island
Tom was grateful when he finally can build up his first gold mine , smelter and coinage ...
A lot of efforts puts in there .. many of resources that was gathered before used in this gold chain production
So .. when the first coin came out .. he's very gratefull for that ..
Tom was grateful to have a lot of pumpkin harvested this year .. they all look goods
So they can have some tasty pumpkin soup in family dinner when thanksgiving is coming
Children can have fun when carving out the pumpkin in the yard ...
So. when the first snow drops ... Tom realize .. that was too many thing that made him grateful for
Thanks they can settle in this island ..
* Happy Thanks giving to u all my friends ..
Thanks for making this year a great one ....

I am thankful that my family and friends are well and will be with us for the holidays. I am also thankful that the vets that keep us safe and free are Ok and God is watching over them. I am also thankful that I will have the opportunity to help feed those in missions on Thanksgiving that are less fortunate.

My settlers are very thankful that they are baking bread, so that all of those not so bright bandits can be bribed into picking up a sword for the empire. Their especially grateful to be at home with their families working the farms when they consider the mortality rate of the shock troopers. Their especially thankful for the endless supply of retiring bandits when they ponder the mound of bodies that their ruler leaves behind on ever adventure, and are more than willing to drink their fair share of the beer stock in honor of their fallen comrades.
The army is grateful for the careful planning that goes into every adventure to bring home the highly skilled troops, such as cavalry and crossbowmen. The fresh recruits pray for their safety and the hopes that they will eventually be trained up into soldiers.(only one in a hundred makes it through training)

Diary Entry: Sunday Nov. 20, 1689
I work for the mayor as a stable boy and one of my jobs is to watch the mares that are about ready to foal. I had a mare that was having trouble the other night so I went and fetched the stablemaster. Once the mare had given birth, and the two of us were just sittin in the straw admiring the new colt, the stable master said, "Theo have you thought of what you're most thankful for yet?"
"Naw, not yet Jed, you see it is kind of hard to just focus on one thing: I am so thankful for a number of things that I can't just say one best thing."
"Don't worry Theo, I am sure that one thing will just pop out at ya soon enough. You still have a few days before we get together to share the things we are most thankful for," said Jed.
Now I have been thinking about this being thankful for something and I confess that part of my problem is that I see good things in most everything around me. Take the new foal that was just born for instance. The other stable boys complain about having to stay up all night with a mare that is about to foal, but I am so thankful that I get to be a part of the miracle of a new life that it doesn't bother me to stay up with the mare. I am also thankful that the foal is a healthy, sturdy, well conformed colt. I am thankful that my da managed to harvest a goodly amount this fall and that my ma gathered berries, nuts and vegtables to store for winter use, and my older brother managed to gather two new hives of bees. I also am thankful for the job the mayor gave me in the stables, but all of those things just seem like things most folk have gotten or have done and they just don't seem like they are special enough. Well maybe Jed is right and I will find that one special thing to be thankful for.
Diary Entry: Monday, Nov 21, 1689
Ma has been feeling poorly for the past few days. Da said she was just plum tuckered out from all of the work she has been doing lately, what with butchering, smoking meat, drying fruit and berries, giving da a hand getting in the harvest, milking the cow, gathering eggs and looking after the few animals we have. I have been trying to get up early enough that I can help her with most of the chores before I go to the stable. At least I don't have to be at the stable early because I stay up nights with the expectant mares so the mayor told Jed that I didn't have to report in to work until mid afternoon. But I just can't seem to shake this feeling that it is more than just all of the work lately that has ma feeling poorly and the herbs that she has gathered for medicinal purposes just doesn't seem to be helping all that much. Now ma she says she is just happy and thankful that we have a plentiful amount of chores and food to keep her busy because that means we won't go hungry this winter and that is very important cause ma is expecting a new brother or sister for me to play with. Other that the plentiful amount of chores and food nothing has popped out at me to be extra thankful for like Jed said it would.
Diary Entry: Tuesday Nov. 22, 1689
It has been a very long day today and I am sitting here with a hurricane lantern watching the mares and trying to write in the dim light. Earlier today I thought I would have to tell everyone that I was thankful that my ma taught me how to read and write, and that da thought it was important enought to furnish paper to write my diary on. But now I know that what Jed said when he told me something would "pop out at me" was really what would happen. Turned out that Jed was right after all. You see the reason why the day turned out to be a very long one was because I got up early to help ma as she was still feeling really bad and I could tell that it was all she could do to give da his supper last night before I went back to the stable for the night. I had the chores almost done when ma started yelling to wake the dead. Why I dropped the empty feed bucket and lit out for the house like greased lightening. Turned out tha ma went into labor and I got to help deliver my new baby sister. So I know now what I am most thankful for. I am most thankful for the ability to see the wonder in everything in the world around me and that it led to me wanting to stay up with the mares, cause if I hadn't of sat up with the mares and helped deliver foals I might not have a new baby sister. She was turned around backwards and I had to shove her back up and turn her so she would be born head first. Ma told me that most likely saved her life.
