Production Freezing During Upgrades

This is happening more often than not now as I've upgraded several building from level three to 4 and two currently from level 4 to 5 and my production has frozen and isn't producing. Several days ago this was my butcher who didn't produce anything for 24 hours while it upgraded and now two of my cokers, from level 4 to level 5, is frozen and apparently will not produce anything for 7 full days.

Is this normal game play or a bug? Can someone look into this as I've sent a couple tech support and game support tickets but have yet to hear anything.

Has anyone else experienced this problem and if so is there a fix?

This is normal, a while back they implemented a change that any building that is in the process of upgrading stops it's production. Prior to that change, the prov house and barracks continued their production I believe.

Yes they did I upgraded both my barracks and pv house before they implemented the change and still was able to use them both at normal capacity.. and this is normal as Sanii explained (about the production halting during upgrades)

Also all support mail goes to email not in game mail check email of account and junk folder (support tends to be available more Monday to Friday so slow to non existent response for weekend tickets till Monday afternoon.)
