While I do like the Econ Overview as it is, I find myself making excel sheets (which require updating when even i build or move more) to try to balance my economy more precisely.
What this would entail is a "average per" for supply for producers. Say you're thinking of making a new saw mill but your log production is close to 0, based on how you build an average production rate for the foresters and mills can be compared to see if another mill would over strain the current supply, ie if the 5 foresters each produce .46 logs a minute and the 6 mills produce .29 planks per minute (considering its a 1:1 trade off), it would total 2.3 logs per minute and 1.74 planks per minute, and with that you could see with another .29 planks per minute would not over take the 2.3 logs per second being created, in fact 2 more mills would only over take it by .02 per minute meaning only a -14.4 every 12 hours.
