Can't Place an Offer where the Price will exceed your max inventory???

I never noticed this if it was happening before,
but I am unable to set a Price if the total
will exceed my max inventory....

Don't understand the reasoning behind any of this.

If you Purchase an item that exceeds your max inventory, the extra goes in to the Resources in your Star menu.

Why, if you're selling, doesn't the extra go in to your Resources also???

I don't understand any of the limits they have set, in the present or the past, on Offer or Price of this new trade system.

What does it matter what my max inventory is at all as long as I'm not trying to sell more than I currently have???

If I had to guess, I'd say it's because there's very little incentive to upgrade storehouses if they didn't do that.
