Mistake on Yearly wish list winners.

I think you didn't check those winners very carefully BB staff.

Your own rules posted clearly in the forum said,

" Unfortunately Endless Copper Mine and Gem Pit cannot be chosen."

"These items MUST be from the Trader (shop in-game). You may only pick one item per tab. For example, you can choose one item from Architect, one from black market, one from wholesale, one from adventure, and one from deposits."

You allowed winners who to choose an item you stated could NOT be chosen, and you allowed multiple picks from the same tab.

The gem pit ( not allowed to be choosen) and building licenses are in the same tab, " Architect"

Veteran general and permanent building slot are ALSO from the same tab "Black Market"
Veteran Generals and Jolly Geologist , same "tab" as well.

Basically it appears only 2 of your winners placed officially correct choices, frodo5558 and vjardin.

The other three did not place correct choices.

You may want to check on your winner results, and correct this by removing ( i.e. disqualifying) the 3 who didn't follow the rules with 3 players who did.

Bottom line, you need to enforce your own rules BB Staff.

Congrats to the winners, this one was like getting struck by lightening.
This does bring about a point, however.

The US side now has 2 servers, it is absolutely imparative that you now enforce contest rules. If the entrant didn't follow the instructions, then they need to be disqualified; no more molly-coddling your player base!

I concur, if they cannot read the rules, and follow the rules, then they should be disqualified.
Allow ONLY players who DID follow the rules as eligible.

Hey, at this rate, why not just have people post their name with the line " I want a chance to win stuff in this lottery" since a random number generator is nothing more then a lottery anyway, and forget about even bothering to POST rules if you are not going to care if the participants follow them.

I realized that BB doesn't enforce it's own rules during the "Create your own Pumpkin Stencil" contest at Halloween, when several winners were clearly not original artwork, and others were clearly not able to actually be stenciled onto a pumpkin.

I agree if BB does not enforce their own rules, they should just simply not post them. These rules have no meaning after all. Really, BB staff, if you do it this way, next time people won't bother to read the rules anymore. You ban people for not following the rules, so I think it is reasonable to reward those who do.

Solution sounds fair to me. No reason to completely hose the winners. Congratulations guys!

I wasn't trying to hose the winners. I was trying to point out to BB staff that only enforcing rules part of the time is basically bogus.
Either you enforce them all the time for everything and everyone, or don't bother to even make rules.
Contests, chat lobbies, COC, whatever,,, if you got rules make them Worth something, enforce them.
It is not conducive to gaining any respect for anyone who is wishy washy about their own rules, or applies them based on their own whims.
Better to admit to making a mistake and correct it, then to just let stuff slide and hope no one notices it.
