It would seem Blue Byte/Ubi Soft has been running the contests for this game on Facebook lately.

I would just like to know who here would prefer to have the contest either be here on the site.... Or at the least allow people to enter the contests from both here and Facebook??

No offence to people who use Facebook but as a heads up Blue Byte not everyone uses Facebook, twitter, ect, ect.

However they continue to run most contests off Facebook thus more or less telling anyone with out Facebook screw you!

I have spent hard earned money on this game I have played this game from Closed Beta (daily) and yet I have no way to enter contests because they refuse to run them on their own site.

Honestly Blue Byte are you out to push people away??

For the record I do not use Facebook Twitter or anything else cause I personally feel those sites are unsafe.

They allow people to give out too much information that can end up causeing the users more trouble than they expected.

These sites change user agreements when ever they feel like it and you have to just deal with it which when changes come it almost always makes the news I read as yet another thing that is either screwing the users, violateing the users trust and other things, attempting to take users self made material as their own (Stealing it), Or makeing it so that what you the user have done is now a rules violation on your part thus getting you into trouble.

At least that is how it reads in the news articles I have read about Facebook thus with all this going on I just don't see how people can stay members of a site that does that.

Then there is the fact that just before the company went public the co-founder changed his country of residence so he wouldn't have to pay taxes whice granted would not have fixed the national debt or balanced the world economy but every little bit helps.

Anyway guess I am done standing on my soapbox I now return you to your regularly schudled gameing thanks for reading my complaint/gripe/rant or whatever you call it.

Actually, except for the poll, I haven't seen any contests run on facebook. The screenshot of the week is placed on facebook, but run through the forum. I think that facebook is a viable way to garner interest, and a poll to see what events folks liked will do just that.

Thats all well and good drum up support get people playing ask them what they liked all great BUT..... put it here as well I'd like to add my 2 Nuyen's worth to the totals but as I refuse to use Facebook guess my opinion is worthless.

Thank god I have spent over 200 bucks on this game on this game.... Oh wait I have!

This is correct; we often advertise the forum contests on our Facebook page, but an overwhelming majority of our contests are run on the forums (like our New Years Resolution contest) or in game (such as GM trivia).

So I made the comment that contests have been going to facebook vs. here on the site a few days ago.

I was told by BB_meesherbeans "we often advertise the forum contests on our Facebook page" and an overwhelming majority of our contests are run on the forums.

Today I log on and what is the latest new news why there is a new contest on Facebook ONLY!
