Troops used in a battle not the ones sent

Twice while running Sons of the Veld the troops I sent to do battle were not the ones that actually attacked. After the first time, I was extra careful (just in case I had made a mistake, but the troops that were sent were not even the ones that were remaining from the previous attack, they were something different) , so I've been checking my troop composition multiple times, then it happened again. Is there any other reports of this? I'm afraid to continue on the adventure, in case it keeps happening.

EDIT: Turns out (at least for the second battle) my general was intercepted, but I didn't see it. Sorry for the false alarm. I'm going to check out the first fight better. SO - User Error.

Closest I've seen to that is when you load troops and the walking symbol appears above the garrison and it never stops and you have to exit, and of course sometimes what you entered is accepted and others it's not but no not what you've seen sorry.
