More than likely you are correct malacal17 that latency issues are not the problem, but as ChasmanicII said previously the blocking tactic was not developed by BB. Therefore I see no reason why they would invest time into fixing player problems with it. The best solution is to use guides that do not require the blocking tactic.

many adventures are not worth running without blocking, the cost of the units lost far outweighs the reward

Thank you for sending in your question. We are aware the new patch has caused some new latency issues. The dev team is aware of this however, at this time we can only recommend the process of clearing your cookies and cache to help with this. Please also be aware that the tactic of blocking is not support by the support team of this game, as this was a player created tactic and was not intended by the development team. We strongly recommend attacking each camp in order that they are presented to you."

Sorry BB Support, "latency issues" are not the problem; generals teleporting and/or moving at the speed of light when another attack is in progress is the problem.
reading between the lines i get this message: we know the latest update has messed up blocking, we never intended for players to be able to block. the only reason it was not disabled outright is because a sizeable portion of the community was in support of it and threatened to quit if it was removed, which woulda affected our bottom line'

if you watch the videos posted by sanii, it is obvious that latency issues are not the problem here, no connection issue is causing this. the game detects that a general is in the aggro of a camp being attacked, but not in the aggro zone of his intended target, and starts him skipping foward. after reading this response from support, i am of the opinion that this was fully intended to make blocking more risky

Same issue here with the blocks not working correctly. Lost all of my XB and over 200 Cav running blocks using Genesis's guide for Outlaws. Even if blocking is not actually supported, the Generals should still not jump forward like they do now after the last game update.

ironic, since blocking is one of few things that bring some excitement to this game! (other one is reward anticipation after the rollback!)

I have responded to my support ticket with the following, we will see what they say:

    "Hello Support Team,

I'm sorry, but "latency issues" are not the problem in this case. It has been clearly pointed out already what the problem is in this case; please watch the videos from the thread if you still have doubts. I understand that you cannot directly fix anything, but please at least acknowledge the problem properly and not just use common buzz words and canned responses.

If the development team's intent is to disable blocking with this recent update, then I must strongly protest that an official statement be made and that blocking be properly disabled. That will give your development team (and your finance department) a much better sense of what players have done with your game.

Stating that something is not supported or intended in a video game but is one of the major reasons that users continue to play (and pay), will not make the issue go away. Quite frankly that is a cop-out. Blocking brings a certain level of excitement to the game, and makes most of the adventures tolerable. If users are forced to attack camps one at a time, in order that they are presented, I suspect you will find the number of players of this game dramatically reduced, because players who have invested (figuratively or literally) in this game know that adventures require significantly more troops without blocking.

Very well put Malacia17 with all the BS that TSO has been doing to " Make this game better" or lack there of. I am seriously considering quitting If they don't actually get the new lvls out and actually show they give a hoot about this game.

I have been playing for near a year now and have talked to some players that have been here since day one. The promise of PVP for 2.5 years come on Developers. I am not a big fan of PVP but it would add some excitement to this steadily monotonous game.

Now taking blocking out well hey. The message I am getting is we are near the release of ANNO in north america hahahahaha were done with this game. I hope to heck I am wrong but for any of you that have player for a year or more can attest to all the promises and howTSO continues to disappoint.

Didn't they have a contest to write new blocking guides when the pathing was changed? So they don't support it, but they not only condone but endorse blocking. I think the problem should be fixed and blocking allowed once again.
