I voted that it was fairly important, only because blocking doesn't keep me playing personally. The great people I have become friends with and got to know on here, and my guild, is what keeps me playing.

I used to block long time ago, with old blocking techniqe, Since they changed blocking, I dont block, its so risky, usualy requires valuable units for blocking units, lags etc.

I vote blocking very important because it was the main reason that kept my interest in the game when I was repeatedly grinding the same 1-2 adventures for the last 20 levels of the game. Without blocking I would never have made it to 50. Without blocking I would never grind adventures again (for example, whenever you raise the level cap) or bother doing them for resources (nowadays it is much easier to play the T.O to get what you want unless you crave for large amounts of salt and wheat deposits). Blocking is THE only interesting mechanism in this game regardless of whether the devs intended it or not.

If blocking goes away, there will no doubt be a mass exodus of players, many of whom are paying customers. Blocking adds excitement to the game, and harms no one. Troops can still be lost, just as with standard approach, and often in mass quantities when a block goes south. That adds to the thrill.
That being said -- this is a quote from Meesherbeans:
One: We are aware the the game has been laggy since the game update earlier this week, and are looking into ways to help bring this back down. Smooth service is definitely one of the most important things to us and we're on the case! (No, seriously. We really are.)

Two: While we are really happy that people enjoy utilizing "blocking" in adventures, the actual act is not in and of itself an intended game mechanic. It's certainly not a cheat or glitch and we'll never action someone for using it, but it's not something that is built into the intended gameplay. While there is the lagging issue, and we are most certainly investigating ways to reduce it, blocking not working as a result of it is not what we are trying to fix.

So it does not appear that anyone is intending to make blocking go away -- simply that the latest update glitched it due to lag, etc.

I am not that blocking impaired... I hope! But yes blocking adds thrill and excitment while adventuring, gets my mind focused on proper timing so everything runs smoothly.. and when I do mess up, I might get mad.. but then I think of all the extra troops I would have had to use to take out those camps in the first place.. that is what I think makes blocking worth it.

the general skipping ahead while in a camp's aggro zone that is being attacked is not lag, any1 should be able to see that. it is clearly a glitch in the code, most likely caused inadvertently when they switched the code for traps back to not showing an aggro zone when selecting attack with your general. i really wish they would just admit this simple fact, admit that they screwd something up in the code during the update, rather than insisting that it is lag related, as any1 with game experience can clearly see that it is NOT lag causing the problem.

I use blocking on just about every adventure I do. Adventures would be boring without it and if they took it out I would probably stop playing. I am currently level 48 and I have been playing the game for over 1.5 years and I have spent around $300 on it thus far. I like it a lot and I am on every single day without fail. All of that said, if they ever took out the blocking aspect on the adventures I would quit the next day .

I am sure you can guess which side of the coin I fall on.

Re: The recent bug: I am fairly sure it is only client side. I first saw it introduced on Test with I think the Tropical Suns adventure (I don't think I saw it when I tested the Skulls Adventure).

Probably an unintentional glitch introduced when putting in some of the new features for adventures.
