Any tips for a beginning trader?

I have come to the decision that I will actually trade some of my resources. I have been slowly doing trades to get by and now I want to start making a lot of gc. Would anyone like to give me some tips on how to get set up as a trader, and how to be successful at it? Any and all help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance!
