I have made similar suggestions. All this clicking is tedious and actually makes my fingers sore! I finally figured out you can trade with a friend to clear up space. I had 200,000 tools I made in the provision house (160 *1250). I traded 210,000 tools to a friend for 1 map, they decline and it comes back in my mail. I took all the tools I had in the star menu and put them in the mayor's house. After that I accepted the declined email and have over 200,000 tools together in the star menu. My friends and I worked out a system. If we get a trade for 1 map we decline or it comes back anyway after 6 or 8 hrs. I got the idea when I saw the pic of the week 1,000,000 gold. Of course doing it to begin with in the star menu would be quicker.
