Guild Quests requiring adventure completions
Hello everyone!
Before I get on my soapbox, let me just say that I'm level 46 and fall into the 46-50 guild quest bracket. And yes, I know the guild quests are "random", however, there is an issue with them that I'd like to bring up.
Why do I, and the other members of my guild at my level, have to complete a Nords or BK every day? That's what has been happening. Here's why I don't agree with it:
1. Nords and BKs are not easy to come by. Explorers don't come back with them very often, so it's not like we have a stockpile of these highly sought after adventures just wasting away in our star menus.
2. Buying Nords and BKs is not cheap. Why am I going to pay 1200/1800 in gc for the end result of 120ish guild coins? Split that's 600gc if you find a buddy. That's fine if it's every couple of days but every day?
3. The only remaining way to get Nords or BK is through the gem shop. No way I'm shelling out all those gems for a Nords, and it takes a long while to build up 300 map frags.
4. Adventures take time to complete. Having to do one every day can easily cost me more time than I wish to invest.
5. Having to do one of these adventures every day takes away time that I could be using to help lower level guildies complete adventures and get resources that they need (crossbows, d-swords, etc). Or, help them finish their guild quest adventure when they actually get one.
Add on top of the adventure the fact that we need to 'pay 50 gold coins from your storage' (that's our resource part of the guild quest today). We keep having to shell out 40 carriages too that none of us have.
I don't mind putting in extra because I'm higher level. But when someone at level 39 only has to 'pay 20 gold ore from your storage' and 'produce enough Retired Bandits to obtain 1 Settler'... I'm thinking that things are not well balanced.
I know... if I don't like it, then don't do them. But being part of a guild is important to me and my fellow guildies. Logging in every day to play and say hello... it would be really rude to say "not doing the guild quests cuz they suck" when everyone else is working hard to complete theirs.

I cancel the Nords GQ every time. Its not worth doing and my guild agrees. Just cancel it and move to the next one.

Problem is that the next one is a BK... Then it's a Nords again... we'd be cancelling a lot of guild quests. =(

I am level 50... I have had to do adventures to complete guild quests as well as the rest of my guildies in that bracket range. I have never had to do a Nords or a BK, have had to do traitors and pirates. Not that this helps in anyway as far as your guild quests are concerned, maybe it has to do with the guild size?

Guild quests should not be time intensive.
