Four Winds Quest makes want to QUIT this game.

The luck factor of this game makes this a poorly designed quest chain.

If you guys don't change this soon or compensate those who spent time doing Bandits Nest 5 times in a row, I'm just going to say screw this.

I'm only on the bandits nest step. I can only imagine how much more frustrating its going to be when I get to the old friends chain.

This is beyond retarded. For a stupid Watermill and 500 gems???

I can get watermill from easter event. 500 gems I can get that in 10 weeks logging in everyday and log out, easier to do then waste my time with frustration.

You really screwed up this time on the event. WORST event ever.

i agrre with RonEmpire several of my guildmates stopped after no granite from bandits nest - i got lucky and did bandits nest in 1 try. i just sent this message to sopport also "this is a tedious quest chain ive done old friends 3 times in 6 days no granite at all - reconfigure the chain or make the rewards better -alot better. i could've bought the bloody windmill by now. you should allow mor time also and maybe offer in-chain adventures as a reward from an earlier step. frustrated and bored and seriosly thinking about leaving all my ubisoft games in the trash (30-50) titles so far)"

Yup. Getting EXTREMELY upset with this quest line. I've burned all my map fragements on Bandit Nests. I've got only 1 left to do and if I don't get granite. I guess that's it for me. I'm out. stuck at bandit nest chain. No granite. No mapfragments to buy bandits nest.

Wasted so many resources/units already on this useless adventures. I could have been doing the epic adventures.

You guys over at Development team are losing my vote of confidence in design. I guess I'm going to end up playing something else after this.

I usually buy diamonds during Mega Happy hours for the best deal. Was waiting for the next deal to happy but right now. I'm pretty upset with settlers so I dont think I'm going to support them anymore. After easter event I'll wait to Halloween to see if they improved on anything.

I've decided to stick it out and try to beat the quest because I'm fairly new to the game. And I am so close.

I'm on my last task which involves the Explorer finding 150 stones.
Really? I mean really? This is something totally out of my control.

It's been over 2 days sending my Explorer hoping I can get lucky with the random stone treasure it finds, and it finds at most 25 at a time.
I still have 50 more to find, and I don't know if all my effort will be wasted if I can't complete it in time before this event is over.

Terrible quest. But 500 gems is a lot to me.

I think you guys are forgetting that this is an optional quest. it's a challenge to complete in a game that otherwise has very little challenge. could have bought the watermill, yes. Unless you shell out the cash, you aren't getting the 500 gems though. Take it easy and try to enjoy the game. if this quest isn't enjoyable for you, don't do it.

Do you complain when you get Sons of the Veld as a daily, or do you skip it?

Dailies you can keep in your log endlessly. Four Winds is getting removed next week.

There is a difference.

Again.... "Luck is not the same as challenging".

I dont know why people think getting LUCKY is considered challenging. When you're on the worst bad luck streak ever, you still want to tell me that's a challenge?

Who goes to vegas and play Roulette and bets on the 3rd column with 33% chance of winning call that a challenge with limited resources(money) a challenge??

Maybe playing Poker might be a challenge since that's a bit of skill. But playing roulette is not a challenge. its hugely luck and requires no skill.

Managing your resources and balancing out a resource production can be a challenge.

But depending on granite drops and finding maps or getting enough map fragments or even hoping your explorers find stones are not a challenge. That's LUCK. Sending troops out and following a guide is not a challenge. That's just cookie cutter. It's actually luck too if the server craps out on you and the blocks don't work. That's not a challenge.


Please know the difference between challenge and random luck.

I started the Four Winds Quest. I am now stuck trying to get 700 granite from the Island of the Pirates quest.

I am only level 26. I have YET to have my Explorer find the requisite adventure. I am sick of these quests that seem to be designed to get me to buy gems, though I can see that the repeated purchase of gems is your revenue stream. I think I will go back to AoE.
