I enjoyed it. It was something new and quite the challenge. I completed the 36-45 interval and for the lower levels in each interval the quest can be really hard.
Many people have had good points on alternatives for the "find x granite" part. I had to do 2 BN and 2 OF. More than that would been hard just on the resource needed to acquire those quest.

But in the end I really enjoyed it and want to see something similar again. It got the guild together helping each other finish it. I was also one of those few who enjoyed the End of the World event. These things make it all interesting and fun. Worth maybe mentioning that I dont buy gems so I did not have it easier to complete four winds or the EotW.

If I could change anything, it would be to add different objectives, such as "Kill Roughnecks X number of times" so we would have a variety of quests we could choose to do. OR, if you really wanted to make it challenging, make it so that we would have to kill bosses x number of times... Wild Mary, Witch, High Dark Priest, etc
toughguy what i colored red above is what you are wrong about. 1 quest tier required the building of a longbow maker, my quest tier required the building of, if i remember correctly, a damascene swordsmith and a titanium smelter. i have never needed any of these buildings. longbows, damascene swords, crossbows, etc etc are all abundantly available from adventures

this is an issue i had with this quest line that i forgot to include in my last post here. i mean come on, it takes 3.5k granite for a titanium smelter, and 4k granite for a damascene swordsmith. thtats 7.5k granite gone just for 2 of the subquests. at 1.2gc per (which is the low end in trade these days) that is 9k gc woth of granite. and lets not forget that the price of the titanium ore and coal the smelter uses is more than the titanium bars it gives you, even buffed. same problem with the swordsmith and the longbowmaker.

I liked it in theory. I hope we do it again, but with some of the suggested changes - leaving things so up to chance made it frustrating at times. A challenge is fine, but make it something we can control!

It was nice to have something different to do. That's mainly what I liked about this, and is what I liked about the end of the world quest. I say keep giving us new types of challenges and events, but maybe consult with players when it comes to balancing and assigning appropriate tasks and whatnot.

I finished the quest line, but the problem I had was doing Surpirse Attack like 7 times. While the XP was nice, the cost was way more then I wanted to spend. That didnt include the loot spots I shared with another player. They had over 11 quests done before getting the granite. I would change that part of the quest, make it so we just have to complete the adventure once, not many times. Over all the quest line wasnt that hard for me, I am level 47 and had the resources to complete each quest and the adventures available. Anyone lower level with the same quests would be hard pressed to complete them without help.

When I said I would have had to build them sooner or later, I was referencing to the "Battle Master" questline, where it requires you to build those buildings. Also, you never know if any future crisis quests require those high-end buildings. It was a good idea to just build them and be done with them. Plus, building longbow maker? Not like you actually lose any money. Most people should have more HWL than they need for their sawmills, anyways

I loved it. We need more of this. I hope they continue to build quest lines like these. One more thing to keep me playing even though I no longer gain levels.

I'm not going to finish it, because I could never find Bandit's Nest, and I wasn't going to fork over 1k gc to have to redo it over and over (like one guildie had to do). I'm certainly a fan of "gain x amount of granite through adventures" which prevents just between-trading in guilds.

I would agree with this statement right here.. I liked it, there were just some quests I would change... like the one Evil_J suggested.

Yeah. I hear yeah. Most people would have problems if they were a low level and having to do it multipule times like some people had to do. Lucky for levels 26 - 35 . They only had to do like Island of the Pirates and Dark Priest which isn't as bad as having to do Bandit Nest or Surprise Attack.

I agree with your statement Schade. We do need more. They also should have like.. once we complete one. we get another one and have to complete that and it gets harder and harder each time you complete it.

You need to buy the Adventure Bandits nest in the Merchant.

My only issue with the whole quest series was the luck factor in getting the granite. I did luck up the first round and got the granite the first time, however, I have completed Old Friends 4 times and still haven't gotten the granite. I'm sure the quest is ending soon and all my "work" will be for nothing since without completing the quest, I will not get the reward.
