resource consumption: - Can someone EXPLAIN this???

Can anyone explain WHY resources that are required for upgrades are immediately deducted from the warehouse, yet if the reserves fall below the required amount the upgrade ceases to progress? During the 2013 Easter event, I began 2 lvl 5 upgrades on floating houses. Each upgrade required 600 granite. I had 1246 granite in the warehouse. As each upgrade began, 600 granite was immediately deducted from the warehouse, leaving me with 46 in reserve. Yet, when I clicked on each floating house, the upgrade was NOT progressing; and the granite requirement of 600 appeared "in red". I spent a ridiculous amount of gold coins purchasing 1200 more granite, just to get the upgrades to progress. Placing 1200 granite back in the warehouse was the only way to get the upgrade going again. My question IS: WHERE did that initial 1200 granite GO? This happens with upgrades requiring marble, also!

Each level 5 upgrade takes 7 days to complete... so the progression of the actual upgrade is very slow. If it shows that it is upgrading then it for the most part should be, but as I said it takes 7 days so the progression bar and the % doesn't move hardly at all on any given day.

I understand the "slow" progression on a 7 day upgrade; but, WHY is the progression completely HALTED if the warehouse contains LESS than 600 granite? The required amount was IMMEDIATELY deducted from the reserves. Even returning in 1-2 days, the progression will STILL be sitting at 0% if the storehouse contains less than the required amounts. At this rate, an upgrade isn't worth attempting unless there is 4x the required amount of supplies in reserve.

To be honest.. I have never encountered this issue... I have done many,many upgrades without having more than the required amount of granite. EX. just enough to do the upgrade and set my storehouse to 0 for granite and have never had it halt the progression of the upgrade. The amount is always immediately deducted from my storehouse, applied to the the upgrading building...and so the slow progression of a 7 day upgrade happens lol.

So in answer to your question, I am completely unsure, you may have to send in a support ticket, explaining that your upgrades have been started but are not progressing, hopefully its a bug that they can rectify for you.

Also try clearing your cache and cookies (I dont know if this will help or not, but might as well throw it out there) then signing back into your account.

Sorry I cant be of more useful help to you, but like I said I have never heard or seen this particular issue

i started a gold smelter and coinage going to lvl5 on tuesday...or was it monday? at 44%. anyways, less than the 6k granite required for each upgrade is left in storage, and yet the upgrade continues. so as galaxia said, u have a bug. stop flaming here and send a support ticket =P =D
