I have a guildie with the same issue, since the change to the email addresses, he cannot log in as well and gets the login failed screen.
** but he cannot also login at all, he cannot get passed the first sign in screen to even sign into forums **
I can log into the community just fine. But I can't log in far enough even to submit a trouble ticket. Now I have lost my login bonus, and after today I am going to lose my quests.

I have been able to login since yesterday and I've sent in tickets and no reply as to when I can get into my game!
I'm going to lose the quest I was on with the last camp to take care of, my level 3 gold mines and other mines need to be refilled before I lose them and have to rebuild and level them back up which takes resources! The daily quest thing I'll lose soon as well.
Can someone please look into my account and find out why I can't log in please????????
I don't know if this will help anyone else, but i had the same problem of being bounced to the "new player register" screen too. Finally figured out that my location had somehow been reset to a European server, instead of US. So, just changing the location got me in.
My guildie is able to log in to his Uplay account... but not here, using the email log in, why will it not transfer over? I guess we shall wait and see, he did send Uplay help a message there... so only time will tell if his account will be accessible or not.
