Well, here is what i remember when i joined Anno.

1. I signed up in the german server (language)

2. When i signed up i think it was before open beta.

3. I didn't get into closed beta. however, when open beta came, i was emailed and i accepted.

So, they may have a time when they allow new players in (say once a week/month) so that they can test in "mini rounds" of new players during the open beta.

So, my suggestions is to double check all of your information I.e. email, user name and password, and just wate. Its still in Beta stages, so they are slow on purpose.
