I posted because my boss told me too.
Gib us da pee vee peeeeeeee!!!
In concrete terms, we want an update on the Meesherbeans post from 11/20/12 which was clearly showing some promise in the 'Raising the Level Cap' and 'Player vs Player'
The link of the post is: http://forum.thesettlersonline.net/t...y-Update-11-20
And if you scroll down the page, you will find the utterly interesting comment from The_Director: "lol cant wate for December 6th! These updates are needed badly. PvP? took too long. step it up!"
Hello everyone!
I just wanted to step in and let you guys know that I am reading your concerns and will do what I can to get more information. Like BB_Katealyst said, we do have a new Dev Diary coming out next week. We are also working on some fun Community plans for the coming weeks. I don't have all the answers for you right now but we are listening. Thank you for keeping this thread mostly civil (let's keep it that way).
The building sneak peeks happened on Facebook both last week and this week and we hope to be able to get you more previews like that in the future.
Thank you for your patience!
'fun community plans'...so more picture drawing and poetry writing as was mentioned previously? and the sneak peeks are interesting to look at, but we have also seen 'sneak peeks' at a planned talent tree, a specialist skill tree, an espionage building, a watchtower, and the spy's window w his available orders, all of this revealed back on november 20th, all of which many of us got excited over, and all of which we have yet to see ANYTHING more about, except a couple new adventures, very small adventures i might add, which are supposed to eventually include the use of the spy.
rant over, i feel a bit better =D
now, i said in another thread that i understand that developements like these do take time. however this company needs to understand that we have been promised certain developements for far too long, and many players are becoming very impatient. so my sincere suggestion to blue byte at this time is to focus on 1 thing right now, get it developed, tested, and put on the live servers ASAP before too many more players drop out and never return to another blue byte game. get 1 new thing on the servers, then focus on the next item, then the next, keep new content rolling out rather than trying to do it all at once. perhaps that is what you are doing now w the 2 new buildings we are getting a sneak peek on. if so, do it quickly, because i fear another 5-6month period of nothing new will nearly kill this game. i can already feel it slowly dieing of neglect...

Thank you for your concern but we need something new

Sneak peeks....sneak peeks.....Excuse me for being so brash. But what we all are looking for are some dates, waving pictures and such in front of us and not delivering is very upsetting. I feel like a horse with my rider holding a stick with an apple on the end of it in front of my face so i keep going. Dates Mandy, we want dates. I am very concerned over the lack of updates and over all progression of this game and i am not even level 50 yet. I am hoping anno online is actually better, but my gf is playing it and says it is pretty much the same as settlers only looks a lot better. I worry that ubi and BB are NOT putting in as much resources as a company should to supporting settlers because of other projects. That is very shameful.
Listen up. We want 2 things. More levels past 50 and/or PVP.TO: ~BB_Effiluna

You people are committing a mortal sin by not listening to your most senior level customers. We don't need another newly hired company shill to regurgitate the same old development theme based on invalid game goals. Settlers needs an experienced product manager who can prioritize feature progression according to realistic customer demands and product profitability.
The only good thing about reaching level 50, as far as I am concerned, is you don't have to spend any more real money!
