Are we attempting to conform everyone now to be a member of this "amazing" community?
Does he really have to stop being himself and be someone who the other people in chat find positive and enlightening?
If what Arco says is true in regards to these being the -only- things he has been banned for, then the entire situation is completely crap and he is correct to be mad. Just because he might piss some people off, even if they are mods, doesn't mean that he should be taken off of the game for it.
It does not matter how his behavior affects others. Unless he is personally attacking them or ruining their game in some way, there is no reason you can not use the IGNORE command to disregard him, rather than letting it affect you. This is a game on the internet, and if you sign up to play it, you should leave your feelings at the doorstep because no one is here to be a friendly, nice guy to you for no reason.
There is no requirement that we even respect other players. In terms of not harassing them - yes. But he does NOT have to become a "member" of this community in the ways that have been proposed in this thread by previous posters. Video games are not the place for reflections, they are a place to play a game in any way that one wishes to. If mods are getting butthurt and banning for reasons this small, it would be a sad day for me personally.
