Not sure about this idea but whatever it is there needs to be a new way to procure granite.
New islands to explore that have granite deposits.
If something can go wrong, it will.
how about making the deposits our geologist find larger or more quantity.

pls don't even try to convert me, too many years playin MMO' war games to be bothered with farming.
I'm not certain but I'm pretty sure that they let us do this with marble during certain holidays.
since granite drops have been nearly ZERO. and not such a crazy price like throwing away a present for it
I would like a granite deposit that a geo can look for that isn't ridiculously low amounts, ridiculously expensive to build, horribly long to mine or ridiculously expensive to refill if a player chooses to do so.
Have granite odds better during adventures in the loot spot could help if they don't wish to go the home island way.

Ahem, This thread is more about simply adding a level of materials conversion to the PH.
We can convert pine planks to hw planks and stone to marble. A natural progression would be to allow the conversion of hw planks to exotic planks and marble to granite.
Failing that, we could convert hw planks and marble into granite.
