Upgrading storehouses isn't so important any more. Now that we have unlimited storage in the star menu, that's the place to stash resources. Marble and gold, and later on granite and exotic wood planks can be used to upgrade more productive buildings.

Make sure all your workyards are next to or near storage!Because if you have a recource that's being made in workyard you want it to go into storage quick! It's very helpful!

If a daily quest asks you to pay 100 coins and rewards you with 50 titanium bars and 50 exotic wood logs, cancel the quest and post 25 coins for each of the two in trade office. You'll save 50 coins.

Or just cancel the quest and save 100 coins.

/ignoreadd NameofPlayer is great tool for filtering out rude/spammy people. Use it freely to keep yourself from getting into a flame war and getting yourself banned. There is no need to waste your time nor attention on trolls. Maybe they should rename the command /trollBgone.

Anyways, take your time and enjoy the game and chat. You'll meet some really interesting people if you hang around long enough.

I do not know the price on Zeus but here is my calculation on Ares (assuming you are using irma basket and friend buffs):

At current Ares trade office prices (30/1k HWP, 40/1k Marble, 40/1k tools, 4 coin/1 aunt irma basket, approx 250/parrot)

Level 1 mine: (1.4*30+1.4*40+1.5*40)/300*500+4*11 = 307 coins approximately to produce 1000 gold ores
    Level 2 mine: (1.4*30+1.4*40+1.5*40+0.5*40)/300*500+4*5.5= 319 coins
And the price goes up for level 3 and level 4 mines.
    Level 5 mine: 250 + 4*2.2 = 259 coins approximately using 1 parrot.

Clearly it's cheaper to buy parrots than rebuilding your gold mines. Also, there are only 8 gold mines on the island, so running all 8 at level 1 can support at most "8-levels" of gold smelters (i.e., 2 level 3's and 1 level 2's, etc)

My tip is: If you are planning on running a gold chain, build a level 5 gold mine and buy gold refills.

    Building upgrade timing reduce

Tip: a 1000 iron refill is worth less than the price of 2000 iron ore.

If your level 5 iron mine is about to collapse, you can always stop your mine and buy iron ore until you get a refill through either doing adventures or trade at a non-inflated price.

There is only 1 provision house no matter what level you're at. At higher levels, there's a need to produce a lot in the provision house and its hard for it to keep up with demand. If you're low level and can find some of the nice high level players, they might sub-contract out work for your provision house. This can be mutually beneficial. Get your provision house to level 3, don't ever build marble/hardwood planks (they take up too much provision house time. If you have such excessive amounts of stone and pinewood, you need to destroy old chains that are no longer needed and this can also free up building licenses. If you need the marble and hardwood, change the stone masons to marble masons, for example, and they'll be much more productive than the provision house trade), and use up all that free time you have in your provision house for other players production.
