ok, someone must have tried to fix this because now when I log in I don't get a mail notification when I have mail.

I get no mail notice when I have mail either.
If something can go wrong, it will.

not knowing if you have new mail or not happens to me as well. each time i come back to my game i just assume i have mail and check it. That's a minor inconvenience compared to having to defeat the first bandit camp 15 times a day. I used to have to complete the long bow quest that many times a day, but they fixed it for me by substituting the bandit leader one. I have written the needed ticket on this issue along with several others, and gotten the daemon response but not one from a human. I know of several others with same issue as well. Oh, and sorry to hijack this thread Audrey, just needed to vent while popping water balloons for no apparent reason.
