I believe the cost in coins for the Manuscripts goes up by 1 every 10 you make, or at least it did on the test server. I.e. the 11th - 20th costs 11 coins, the 21st - 30th is 12 coins... hopefully they removed that. And I hope they add a queue, or you'll have to be on when the bookbinder completes a book to start the next.
