I did this guide to finish the side quest. But honestly, cannons don't really save many (if any) more recruits.

Roaring Bull Cannon Guide
I opted for higher recruit loss to save on all the bows from other guides. B swords come easier to me than bows. And there is only 1 block in this guide, should be a simple one. That camp is a pain otherwise.
