so will the bookbinder just keep going up and up or is there some cap to it?

Don't think we've forgotten about the queue for the bookbinder. having a buff that can't be used unless you are at your computer exactly when the current item is done producing is useless. I've been holding on to my glues bc dont want to waste them as I'm never sure if i can be online when current book is done producing to line up another. Prov and Barracks both have a queue on them, so why not bookbinder?
Some of the perks are nice. Would like to see what the other specialists can do.
What I don't like:
The 10% price hike every 10 books. Makes the whole thing BS. We don't have a price hike or troops or buffs (that would just be dumb.) So why on the books? Is it that the more books we write, the more wastage comes from the increasingly inexperienced bookbinder?
No queue for the bookbinder. There are queues on everything else (troops, buffs, buildings,) so why not books?
From my short experience here, I greatly appreciate the ability to upgrade the geologists. I like the easy way I can integrate it into my production. For the time being I dont have to worry about the tax (gold) or interest (scaling costs) or the high requirements of rare materials. Given that the costs will be somewhat offset by savings in bronze tools, or even the efficiencies of not have to replace mines every single day (maybe), I can see the long term potential benefit potentially outweighing those costs. But for now I use it to increase copper and marble availability. It functions. I certainly wouldnt want to go back to not having it.
I love the science system! BUT, why no queue, and why the increase in price? Every 10 books seems extreme to me. If you said every 50 or every 100 even, but every 10? Please Dev's when you read this think about changing these two things. Please! Otherwise, kudos! The Science System is a big hit with almost everyone.
At first I was upset too about the price hike. BUT I am understanding that its really to balance out the game.
Since these books are mostly used once and there are only a finite number of specialist you'll have it should make you think twice or plan carefully where to spend your points as those books are somewhat 'rare' in the sense.
The only problem I have is the 50% refund. that only gives you half the books back but the prices didn't get reduced based on the volatile loss.
(this sort of makes the books a consumable which I don't like.)
NOTE TO BB: (please adjust the prices based on 50% refund loss)
There's no hike in troops or buffs because those are consumables. They come and go.
Have you noticed the hike in Explorers, Generals, Geos in the tavern ?
The first one was free, then it went up in price. This is because they're permanents and the more you have the stronger you are. Thus the cost scales to offset this.
Same thing goes with the books.
Don't know what everyone is fussing about. My level 31 Geo has already payed for himself in excess res.
A Q would be nice though and would make the glue more worthwhile.
Graf.
The bookbinder building require a queue system like all other buildings.
And the price increase and book refund need to be re-adjusted..
the refund count the book you lost and re-adjust the price in the bookbinder.
Try to imagine the amount of manuscript per tomes it will require to build tomes when explorer, island buildings and generals will have their own science tree will be ***..
Other then that I like the new features it added and I can't wait to see whats next!
Yeah, Bookbinder does need a building queue, But now that the Explorer Skill tree is coming out, how do you guys feel of that?
