It happens to me a lot. I am hoping it is a bug and not working as designed.

Most stuff has a % Chance of finding stuff. If it does. Keep an Eye on what it says... If its a 8% Chance of finding a double Marble Deposit then its 8% Chance of you finding it and 92% Chance of your geologist failing. Don't let it get to your head that you'll always fine double marble.

Don't know wtf you're talking about.
I believe its a bug in the game. Its has happened to me as well. Try visiting a friends island and returning to home island, the deposit/mine should be there when you get back.

i did but it was a misunderstanding. You could ask the BB to code properly but it doesn't mean they will listen or do it properly. This game is still in beta in other locations. So of course its going to have bugs and the Science system is still new. So of course things will have bugs. That is why there is the test server. Just that when the bring it over here. They don't know what will have. So complaining about it won't make much different if its a new fetter and it has bugs right away.
All you can do is send a support ticket which im sure plenty of people have and they are trying to correct the issue. But you rushing them wont get it done faster because they probably don't know what else could happen when they do fix the issue. So you just to stop being so impatient and give it a rest. All games have Bugs when they release something new. :/
I'm sorry, but I don't see how two lines, one asking it the bug was a joke/troll, and another saying thanks for confirmation is 'rushing' (raging?) against BB. You really shouldn't be so defense about BB and overreact, and spend more time reading the posts more carefully and seeing what they are saying as opposed to going straight to defense and writing two paragraphs on how someone is unfairly attacking BB.... with two one line posts.
BTW. It's not in Beta. Beta means in development, closed to the public. Now when the game is in general release AND it's taking in money, it's no longer in Beta. So the excuse of 'we have bugs but it's ok as it's Beta' no longer holds water with games making money. Not saying there should never be bugs (it will happen), but you can't use Beta as an excuse.
