My geologist is named Feldspar Rockbottom
Feldspar was born a slave to the trolls under Landstar Mountain. But as he reached his sixteenth birthday(or as best we can tell) a terrible earthquake caused the almost hollowed mountain to collapse killing all but three beings. Feldspar, his father Obsidieon Rockbottom, a great and world renound geologist and a troll who was still an infant. The nearest town was several days journey from the base of the collapsed mountain. With no packmules or wheeled implements it was decided that Obsideon and the infant troll would stay and try to hold up untill Feldspars' return.Feldspar was captured by a group of disbanded soldiers and was to be sold as a slave oncemore. But he ended up joining our fine town as one of its finest geologist. And as for his father and the infant troll they have decided to stay in the base of the collapsed mountain due to the gold and silver ore lying on the floor inside. Why would they ever want to leave?

My Geologist is named "Rocky", but not for the reason you are thinking! It's not because he loves digging for rocks. It's because he has dark circles under his eyes and, happy with his new abilities, he always whistles old rock tunes as he works, so the Ubi Community started calling him "Rocky Racoon" and it got shortened to just "Rocky".

My name is Kensington McDermit, but you can call me Nibbles for short. I live on the archipelago island town off the coast of the Shueburry Provence. Its a happy simple life, and I love what I do. Im a geologist and inspecting rocks is what I do best, have you ever looked at a rock before? I mean really look at it? There are so many types of rocks bearing all sorts of wonderful treasures. Every time I find a new one I just get so excited, my stomach butteries and I just cant help but to shout YEPPIE! OHH it makes me smile just thinking about it. People call me Nibbles because when I was a boy I would take pebbles from the streams and nibble on them, each one had a different texture, and that made me curious. How can simple rocks that look the same be so different? I started finding all sorts of stuff in these pebbles, and now today I'm the best Geologist in the town. I can determine the difference between rock and stone, stone and copper, copper and marble... YEPPIE! GOLD! I must run now I just found Gold! see you around!

This was the nickname given to one of the preeminent marine geologists, Prof. Bruce Heezen (Columbia University). The nickname was based on his large size. I met He and his assistant, Marie Tharp, created the ocean topographic maps that were popularized in National Geographic. Dr. Heezen passed away due to massive heart attack while on a deep dive in a USN submersibe in the mid-1970's.
