This is the story of Mole.
Mole came into the world fighting and screaming, to protest being taken from the warm secure cavern he was in, and force into this bright crowded world,
They called him joe then. During his early years, if you needed to find him look in hidden corners ,under tables, or out searching holes, and tunnels, to see where they went. All ways he would bring back samples. Family and people of the town knew he would be a geo someday, for this is how the men found their calling, by doing what seemed natural to them. Once he finished geology schooling. He was known only as the geo, a simple title, as he and his fellow geo's were sent far and wide to find resources needed to keep the Island strong and protected, they began to joke and call him Mole as he went out further and down deeper into the mines. One day he was leading a group of miners to a new pocket,when a rare earth tremor hit. passages closed behind them and new ones opened in front of them. The miners watched him, as he turned around studying the rock round them knowing he was their hope. He nodded and headed off further down into the mountain base. Many jokes were told to keep spirits up, one jokingly called the geo a mole cause he was so at home there under the ground, there was great relief when they reach the light. As they left the new opening he turned to the miner, and thanked him for giving him his calling name. So goes the naming on this island among these people, a first name, then a title name , then a calling name, joe the geo became Mole the man who leads them to deeper newer mines of reources.

Finders keepers is a devious unforgiving geologist. He will not give up what he finds. Knowing that he does not give up players will be astonished to find out that he is faster, more lucky, and finds more treasure than other geologists.

Myron is my name. I was raised by parents who both mined iron. I grew up accompanying my father to the mines once I started walking. I became so adapt at finding iron that my name was changed from Miles to Myron (My-ron). My mother wasn't always happy at me playing and working in the dangerous iron mines, but my father overruled her and I'm glad he did. Now that I'm grown, I have the job of inspecting iron mines for safety. And for fun, I may do a little mining on the side.

Klondike Mike is my name. I found myself following the 49ers to California, and since I got there too late, there were no claims for me to call my own. I ran into a friend of mine, Silver Smith, who had staked several claims for himself. He gifted me one that he had already panned out, and that very day, I found a rich vein of gold. I mined several thousands of dollars worth, then sold out and moved on to the Nevada Territory. Tombstone was just gaining press for its second big lode, but again I was late for the show. I made friends with a Hawaiian named Jeremy Iron, who gifted me a claim he was sure was dry. That same day, I found another rich vein of gold running through the quartz. I hired some men to mine it for me for about a year, then sold out to a big mining company back east. I took the $120,000 I got from them and headed for Jeremy's Island home. The ship stopped for supplies on this small isle, and I overheard folks at the tavern talking about the gold mines here running dry. I convinced the owner to give me a chance, and here I am, finding vein after vein in the mountains of Merry Isle.

Slate is a first rate geologist who is a quick learner and has mastered all sorts of skills, from mining and quarrying to mason work and sculpting. His best skill and gift, however, is exploring the island and knowing just where to find the resources we need. He has an uncanny knowledge of how stone and ores form, and so he knows just where to find deposits. Gold, iron, and copper - marble and stone - and he's even able to help monitor the use of granite and the production of copper and steel so our island never runs dry and our army has the provisions needed.
Now if we could just find someone as gifted with agriculture to keep our economy on track! Taverns may be made of stone, but we neeeeeed mooooooore brewwwwww!
