My name is Rock Hound. During my adventures to distant lands searching for resources for my settlement I have encountered many strange and wonderful things. I have found beans that have magical properties. I have found a tower that enables people to spin gold from wheat. My experiences will bring many new adventures to my settlement as well as many badly needed resources. Only other explorers such as myself will be able to conquer these new and thrilling lands. Well to be completely honest, I decided to name all my generals, explorers, and geologists after my officers in my guild and after anyone that has worked hard in my guild. I wanted to pay them respect and homage since they have helped our guild run smoothly and grow as a family. My Generals are Mercurial, Captain_Chris, Ravenhawk315, and OneilCompton. My Explorers are Lepi and ILK45. They both love to run the TO, and they have done a great job at it. They have taught a lot of people in the guild how to use the TO very effectively. However, ILK had to quit the game because of RL issues which is a bummer. We will miss him. My geologists names are: Redikie, Ulyss, and Lyllian. They have all done a great job with their islands...and Lyllian has had some RL problems that she has completely passed through with flying colors. I respect all of these people dearly. And as I get more and more generals, explorers, and geologists...I will continue to name them after people in my guild. We are Survivors and we will always find a way to make it through.

Named Roland and Jake after characters in The Dark Tower Series. If you have read the books you will know that there are many other worlds running parallel and I like to think that Jake and Roland have been reunited in this, less dangerous version of the universe.

Me and my elite team of four in which are disguised as geologists from 1095 A.D. are traveling back in time to stop the crusades for happening. Because of the mass destruction World War 3 caused-which was fought by the Middle East and America-crew members were limited. I managed to recruit: Tom Cruise (Weapons specialist), Chuck Norris (Hand-to-hand combat extraordinaire), Vin Diesel (Vehicle tactician and extraction leader), and last but not least, Dwayne Johnson (Negotiator and leader of the group). We do not think we will accomplish are mission- We know we will! Apart, we are just settlers. Together, we are, "The Settlers"!

My name is Stones and I am a Geologist. My parents are Ruby and Quartz Throw. I have two siblings, my brother granite who is slightly dense and my sister copper. I have had many fights defending her honor because the boys would call her electrifying when they tried to steal a kiss. Don’t get me wrong, she isn’t trampy she just likes to kiss – ugh – boys.

I was born in the mines and never saw daylight until age 9 when my mom said that I would have a bright future as a geologist. I had no idea what a geologist was but I could find anything in the mines. Never got lost once!

I had this un-natural ability to find new veins at ease. When I was young and just barely able to talk I would point and cry at the wall until dad came. He thought I had lost my rock-a-fier so he would dig into the spot that I was pointing and low-and-behold if it wasn’t a new gold vein or something like that.

Today I work in the big city looking for new deposits. This new science has greatly helped me with my job. It has honed my ability and I am finding even bigger deposits. Sometimes with this mad science I can even find two deposits at once. Well my helmet is off in salute to these scientists. With my abilities enhanced by that new science thing I am making bigger money and I find myself getting married to my sweet heart Gem Away. She lives one mine over. When we tie the not next fall we will not be taking the traditional name swap, We will be Mr. and Mrs. Stones Through-Away.

Where's Goldo? is the name of my main guy. After spending many years as a childhood staple, he has sold out and gone for gold. He puts in his manual labour, walking around for two hours straight - but I think he's really only in it for the outcome. Often, I notice my gold mines are shy one or two pieces of ore. I believe his pockets may be heavier than when he set out on his search, though I try to look the other way when this happens as he really is a thorough worker. As a bonus, the guy works well with others and is excellent at blending in the background, which helps him avoid those pesky bandits. He rarely flaunts his former star status, though he does refuse to give up his old striped shirt and matching toque. He did however, get laser eye surgery and donated his now unnecessary glasses to Harry Potter.

Mayor's Log

Subject: Lucky

We found Lucky the day we arrived on this island. One of our wood cutters found him in a small shallow cave west of our camp. He was badly beaten and almost dead. When he was well enough we asked him a lot of questions like what was his name, where did he come from, how long he had been on the island, and were there any others. Lucky said he couldn't remember anything past when he woke up in our camp. Our doctor said he was lucky to be alive at all.

Lucky came to me one day and said he had something to show me. He took me west of our camp and showed me a stone deposit that was just right to use for building things. Later that day he came to me and told me he found four more stone deposits just west of our camp. All I could say was that sure was lucky, and we were lucky to have him around. I asked him if he remembered his name or not and he said "no". I asked him if we could call him Lucky, and he said that would be ok.

Lucky has become a valued member of our community, he has found stone, copper, marble, Iron, coal, and gold deposits. Lucky has taught a few settlers what to look for and where to look for these deposits. The name Lucky is sure fitting for him, and we are very lucky to have Lucky around.

My happiest Geologist is named Oreo. (The other is named Goldfinger since everything he touches turns to gold. But that's another story....) Oreo, on the other hand has to work hard for a living. He came from a lowly coal mining family in Virginia, and is often covered by the black dust of the mines. He has a joyful spirit and sings as he works to pay the bills: "We dig dig dig dig dig dig dig in our mines the whole day through. To dig dig dig dig dig dig dig is what we like to do......."

I have named one of mine "Rocky Hammerstone" I haven't decided the name of the other, but I'm leaning toward Flint Stoneseeker.
