Censoring Problems

In Ares, you can say "KK" instead of "K". I am told it means something bad in German, but I do not know what it is since I do not speak the language.

What would really be useful is if we could see our own mistakes, I.e. if i said "K" and the chat blocked it, i would see the issue as well. Then i can correct myself and improve what i say in the future.

sub-note, the error should have ** around it, so that you know it was blocked. (I.e. instead of: "*** ill come back to it later", i would see: "*k* ill come back to it later".

I wants whisper color changed from pink as it is hard to read pink on brown. u can keep censoring cause it makes it easy to cuss I just have to press * repeatedly.

kate makes a good point, its new millennium - gay, straight, it doesn't matter anymore. and lovely fags mean cigarettes. there are worse words than that

I would like to know why it is that when I type the word "g a y" or "l e s b i a n" it is censored in chat. This associates these words with negative connotations and I think that this is hugely problematic. Why are these words treated as taboo when the individuals to whom they apply use them to describe themselves? In my opinion, this is unacceptably discriminatory.

They are censored for a reason. It's totally inappropriate to call someone gay or lesbian and we should leave it at that. Many of people would get offended if you called him/she that. I don't think it anyone's business to know if they are or not. It pretty much just through flame wars up in Global and on Forums. I'm sure even you wouldn't wanted to be called Gay or Lesbian or whatever.

Those words also have more then One Meaning as well. I think we should just leave it at that and there is nothing wrong with the Censoring Problems. besides the Censoring on the letter "K" but that is because of its meaning in Germany I suppose. Another thing is that it will keep you out of trouble for the most part. I've seen people try by passing the Censoring for those 2 words and making insults to other people that they were eventually permanently banned and could never come back again.

I'm sure no one here would wanna get Permanently banned either for spending so much time on here and spending money, but eh, "****" happens and if you get banned, it's you're own problem.
