Major milestones in the death of Settlers online

IMO there has been a few
    1. The promise of PvP and even displaying new buildings for it
    2. Trade Office and before everyone jumps on me the old system where you only could sell a stack, yes i said it stack, players could see what everyone was selling it for. For the players with little gc they wouldn't get nickle and dime to death like they are now.
    3. Event less Events. Where some players put in an effort to complete the events too many where like the Allstate commercial puts it RATE SUCKERS. The fact that they just have an account earned them the same rewards as those who did them
    4. Trade Chat. I feel since it came into effect the game has gotten too separated.

I could go on and on but these are the ones I ( and that's just an opinion) think have been killing the game

The Event chains divided into 4 ranges - I think was the biggest mistake.
It makes it quite unfair for the high level players honestly.
Creating 4 level chains is really unfair to even the lowest guy of that range.

High level got to their position because the leveled up to get there- but it doesn't mean their economy is better.
So if they're going to have 4 event chains.
High level players should be able to do the each of the chains starting from the lowest to the highest.
This way, if they're stuck at the highest one, they're not at a loss.
Using this scheme, low level players have incentive as well during the event to level up and progress and be able to tap into the next part of the chain.

Moving on to the next problem, events have silly quest requirements that heavily rely on luck with no cap limit as a fail safe.
Example: "search for stone, marble, eggs." using specific searches "short, medium, etc". Obviously the short search folks had more of an advantage because if their luck sucks, at least they have faster retry time. long search you're stuck waiting a day almost (depending on the explorer speed). And those who had the 'very long search' for eggs. are guaranteed eggs while the long search guy got screwed hard the most. This in itself is the most poorly thought out design on the developers part. Obviously they don't the game or test this aspect.

Another example: "get X granites" from adventures. that was the worst one.

Other things I don't like are the new daily quests requiring adventures back to back. Specific ones actually that take a long time. Most of the time I delete/skip those quests.

Then there are the guild dailies. when they require adventures that you can't do - you're stuck.

What's worse is you get adventures as requirement for the daily and guild daily.

What's also bad are those with bad rewards for the dailies. Ask you to pay 100 gold for something and the reward is not even worth the value in gold.

A bunch of poorly thought out quests and rewards that show developers don't play the game.

Simple feature request such as transferring resources from star menu with one click button to reduce tedious chores. Obviously, developers don't play enough to have a massive amount of resources they need to transfer back to their storehouse.

(I queue up the provision house a lot converting wood and stones and tools, they pile up in the starmenu. explorers come back with tons of materials, now I end up clicking and moving and clicking my mouse over and over. balloons recently is a big example of this massive tediousness. )

These are feedback people have made over and over. And things have not improved or changed.

Here is my answer to your post GFM:

The trade and trade tab are not a issue at all.

The original stacks were hard to deal with (try sending 50,000 water per day) and G-1 was a nightmare to just talk to other players.

Now as for pricing, it got better as well, instead of one price allways, there is fluctuations, which gives the game a few challenges, which makes for a better game overall.

Yes in my opinion the Forum contests just launched were poorly planed, sine everyone is devoting their time to the in-game event.

GFM your biggest mistake is the new player Vs the advanced player.

Think of it this way, a new player joins TSO, he doesn't know if he will play for one day or play until TSO shuts down.
He starts to play the tutorial, talking in G-1 and asking for help in the help tab.
Then, the very next day, a new event starts! but he cannot do any of the quests since they require higher level resources.
He asks in G-1 for help on resources, a few help, many don't.
The event finishes, and he gets a rare building, he now loves playing TSO because the rair building.
He joins a guild, levels up till finally, another event comes. But now he can do the event, he doesn't need help, and now he can help others, thanks to a few players who sent him a few resources.

Sweet little story right? Well its my story, and i am still here playing TSO, helping others in many ways.
So while you're moaning over giving "noobs" a few resources and losing coins, remember you just may be helping a new player who could repay you a thousand times over.

    Next issue, PvP:

PvP is a sore in everyones foot, including the BB's and Dev's.

But here is a little known fact.
If you were to go to another nations server, you would find that the game is in beta!
That means TSO is still being developed, we haven't even seen the tip of the iceberg yet.
Now, to balance that out, the USA servers are not in beta, and PvP is a core aspect and should of been launched when TSO left beta.

As for buildings, i would love to see some, or even on the latest way the Dev's plan to use PvP. But that will still be a way off.

The after effect with the RAGE QUITTERS was awesome
I totally enjoyed the forum posting and threads being killed by the BBs
I was listing the ones that IMO were killing the game. Are there more? Yes alot more but this theard would be locked fast if we tried to list them all

and the lvl 50 cap, so experienced members are leaving, and the aries server, so new members arent coming into zeus like before.
i love the social aspect of this game, and i see our world shrinking.

    So you don't have to"

lol and i agree, the rollback was fun. But my level 50 friends hated the whole thing.

Now as for the whole BB's shutting down threads, thats because noobs were raging.

If this thread stays civile we will be fine. (did i spell civile correctly?)
