Geologist Refuses to find a Coal Mine

I've sent my Geologist out 5 times in search of a coal mine, and each time I'm told he didn't locate one because I already have too many.

Not true, I have none.

I have 2 cokers, but no coal mines. I thought at first that there might not be one in the area I was occupying, so after defeating 3 more bandit bosses and expanding my area, I sent him out to search again with the same results: You already have too many coal mines.

Is there something I am missing, or is my Geologist making a political statement about pollution from the use of coal?

I am Level 26, playing on Ares (Realm 2) and my in game name is Askimi

Would that be an area I have conquered? I have conquered all but the very middle and top center part of the island I am on, and I do not know how the areas are numbered, sorry to say.

People in the chat and help areas tend to be rude when I and others ask for help so I just stopped going there and came here.

The Sectors are numbered just like your number pad on your keyboard.

The island is divided into 9 sectors, from the bottom up, left to right, just like the 9 numbers on the right side of your keyboard. Once you conquer an area you have to build a storehouse somewhere in it. Have you done that also? Coal I believe is in sectors 6 and 7.

That helps a lot, as I have one camp left in Sector 6 to vanquish but I've been using up all my Military for the Birthday/Anniversary quests. Today I'm going to focus on what I need which is to get rid of the Bandit Camp in Sector 6 and hope he will find coal there.

What you are missing is that this statement is a lingering poor translation from German that the devs have not seen fit to correct for more than 2 years.
It should say something like, "... you already have all of this type of deposit that you are currently allowed."
In your case, zero, since you don't have either sector 6 or 7.

As others have stated, when you capture the appropriate sectors, you will find the coal deposits in them.
