I don't even see the point in wasting resources on this anymore. Why bother if we're set up to fail from the start. I think i'll keep my resources and not do this event and continue with my adventuring instead.

There is no reason to quit 1 day into it. Don't have a defeatist mentality. We were just given late notice which didn't set us up to fail. It only was rude and inconsiderate. We are sure to at least hit 100% and better if ppl would stop simply just giving up bc of a bump. This is the reason we are doing so bad honestly.

P.S. How does no one realize yet that you aren't really wasting resources if you use cheap/unused resources? If anything, its only spring cleaning. If you're using water, pine logs, or even hw logs (which are basically worthless on own) then you aren't loosing anything. And for the higher ups that have surplus or deerstalkers, meat is another great balloon maker.
Its not ppl are using weapons or expert items to convert into balloons. And if you are, then you are an idiot.

Additionally, we will still get rewards based on the percentage complete. We won't be first to finish, but we need to keep plugging along and get as much as we can.

I agree with Airyk and Arcain on this. We should try and reach the 200% mark in spite of the handicaps they have put in front of us, if for no other reason than to show that we can.

I called it on a thread about the increased cost for bookmaking, which so few (including myself) knew about. Said I wasn't going to bother with any balloons that actually cost resources, as I'm sure there's something either in the smallprint or the execution that is somehow going to screw things up on this adventure.

PS. How about a 'change your password as we got hacked' quest for 1,000,000 balloons?
