Come on is right. We didn't even know we had started for half a day.
If something can go wrong, it will.
Well, I was in Global 1 and Trade tab. Trying to get people to donate to me. I got a level 5 Provisions house that is running on making Balloons. But without anymore Donations, it will just be sitting there. :/

The problem is everyone will exhaust their resources in the first few days making balloons and donating will only get slower. Not many people have the production rate to continuously produce more balloons, so I'm afraid we're only going to see donations slow down. Will be tough reaching 200% let alone 150. I think we can do 100 though.
i agree with Bordoc. We'll for sure hit 100% but the rate will slow down as everyone exhausts their stockpiles. The only thing we can continue donating with volume is water if ppl are willing to build the extra wells. The real root of the problem though is that we all exhausted our resources for phase 1. And needlessly at that too. I was afraid of this happening. Everyone goes gung-ho on first part, using up all they had. And then come phase 2 nothing was left. Then we get the other foot dropped of player apathy bc phase 1 wore them out on top of being blown away by the germans.
There is no way we can keep a good rate of production up the entire time. We just have to at least hit 100% which we can do if players don't get burnt out on this and stop donating. It is 3 weeks long which is a long time for an event that has no event items or goals to do other than spend resources on balloons you gain nothing from.

I've done close to 200k so far with a goal of 750k for part 2 of the event. I have a lvl 5 prov house and a fairly robust economy, but nothing excessive. If people are willing to sac their resources, there is no reason we can't at least reach 100%. That being said, I also I have 3 gem pits and halfway to a 4th. I'm doing this to help out others, as I make more than the max gem reward every day. If people stop worrying about holding on to resources that will replenish in a day or 2, we can significantly help out a lot of newer players to whom a few hundred gems is very significant. C'mon US Servers. Lets drop the petty selfish carp and help out the server. Oh, and watch out for Dragons.
Dragons where?
Pokemon references much?
And...why would you donate to lv. 5 Provision Houses, when you could just use all your spare resources in your own? True, it will be slower, but if people with lv. 5 Provision Houses are flooded with donations, then it won't be slower. In fact, if you have like 100 Baskets queued in the Provision House, you should still put conversions in, and they will finish when your baskets finish (in about 16 hours for lv. 3 Provision House).
I've also seen people turn off their entire city, except for Wells. While it may be the best way to get balloons fast, it is quite unnecessary, and if you shut off Brew, Horses, and Bread, then you cannot make an army. With an army, you can do adventures. By playing Island of the Pirates about 4 or 5 times throughout the event, you will have earned enough resources to equal the worth of about 20 times the amount of water you get if you shut off everything except water.
So, in short, make your own balloons, and don't do something as foolish as shut off your entire island just so you can have water. I WOULD, however, shut off stuff like (long)bowmakers, papermills, and anything you don't really NEED. Especially if they use up Hardwood or Water.
