well i shut down all buildings except water, logs, coal, wheat, flour, and mines and turing them into balloons. it might not get us to the top but i'm trying . so it slows you down a little and the rewards aren't that great so what all it is is a bunch of pixel resources you can't take out of youe PC anyway. 48 i can't help myself anymore now

We should get 200% at the least for the Gems reward. We may not be the fastest or do the most. But getting to the 200% gets us gems.

Have they even say what are the actual gem reward amounts? I wouldn't be surprised if at the end of it all they give you 50 gems for reaching 100%.

They have posted what you get for 100%, 150%, 200%. Yes.
They posted gem rewards for whoever gets to 200% first and whoever donates the most.


They did NOT post what you get for Phase 1.

So let's just get to 200% and get our 600 gems!

So long as we maintain that 10% a day or higher. we will get there by the 23rd.

1. If my game world reaches – for example – 200%, what rewards will we get?
   In this case, all active players from your game world will get:
   1. Settlers 2 headquarter (for 100%)
   2. 600x Gems (100 for 100%, 200 for 150% and 300 for 200%)
   3. 3x Retro adventure (1 for 150% and 2 for 200%)
   4. 60x Change Skill Buff (10 for 100%, 20 for 150% and 30 for 200%)
   Please keep in mind that the rewards for respective percentage levels (100%, 150% and 200%) are not all the rewards you can get. There is a special initial phase that can guarantee you additional Gems and Hired Troops (depending on the performance of your game world). What’s more, two international tasks can provide you even more Gems and other rewards!
   
   
2. When will I receive my rewards?
   The rewards for the anniversary event will be sent around July 25th, 2013.

We have about 15 days left (being very conservative here). So we're roughly near 50%. So 10% per day will get us that remaining 150%.

Let's just get some free gems by getting to 200% We may not be the fastest but we should be able to get there.

I can't do it, sorry Blue Byte has really screwed us over on this one. The only way we can express how will feel about this treatment is refuse to participate, (or not buy gems, but I already stopped doing that.)

Greyjoy, I feel your pain, but the reality is, it doesn't hurt BB in any way if we don't participate. In game resources are data bits (unless you are silly enough to be buying them with gems). Whether you spend them on ballons or stockpile in your warehouse, BB makes no profit and loses no profit. The only thing that helps/hurts them is buying gems/not buying gems. Completing the event gets people free gems, in affect, taking money out of BBs pocket (in theory). It may be me justifying it in my mind, but for those without tons of gems, those could be helpful. And for those with tons of gems, either add 'em to the horde or help out your guildies/new players.

Why exactly do we want that reward?

1) Settlers 2 HQ - Wait a week and get your login gems...buy a noble...
2) 100 Gems - Login for a week...so much easier than this farce of an event
3) 10x Skin Buffs - Not even permanent, who honestly give a crap?
