I hate to agree with the players that are complaining about this treatment. I know that as a company the bottom line for BB is profit for the stock holders. Having said that and even knowing that there are conversion effects and market effects that tie into all of this it makes me feel like quitting the game as well. I have spent several hundred dollars and just this last sale a hundred dollars on gems and I am not happy to see that other countries get more for their dollar. I have known for some time that this is a common practice overseas. Has anyone ever bought an airline ticket overseas? They are much cheaper than what we are charged for the same tickets and same destinations. Just because we are perceived as a rich country there is no reason to treat us this way. Players should unite and let the BB company know how we feel.
i agree this event is not fare at all i have spent alot of money here to buy gems and so on but to slap us in the face like this is just dispicable and i agree with alot of the ppl on our server i am ready to leave as well and take my cash with me

I have played this game for a long time. Years, in fact. I enjoy it greatly. I have even delayed reaching level 50, stretching out the time between adventures because I am in no hurry to reach that ceiling. I tolerated the rollback with simple sadness and frustration, and none of the screaming that others did. But this angers me. I understand that exchange rates and taxes and all play into this kind of thing. But to do it during a competition, especially one where the German servers were already going to have an advantage -- how could they not see how people would be upset by that? I am so discouraged. The top ten servers are almost all German. We are so far down the list that it becomes a "why bother?" thing. I am still producing balloons, but only using resources that I have tons of and can easily replace -- the stuff I get maxed out on, anyway.
There are so many different ways to have handled what was supposed to be a "celebration." But they need to stop having the servers compete like this, especially if they are going to give the home team the advantage of more gems. It is just too discouraging to the smaller servers, and despite their claim, it is obvious that they made no effort to make it fair. Not when when you look at that ranking list. There is no way it is fair. It just highlights what we already know -- the German servers are a lot bigger. We knew that. Why not just give them the top prizes as the celebration, give us nothing or next to nothing, and be done with it? We are racing on foot, and they have cars. And then they get the 3x gem sale?
I have bought gems before. Unless I see a comparable sale for us during this event, and some acknowledgement of how unfair it was, I will not again. I don't make much money, especially with attending college. You have to fight for my entertainment dollar, especially when it is something that only I will enjoy versus something my husband and I will enjoy. Instead of buying gems, I can take us out for a movie, go to the zoo, and so on. You have to prove to me that you deserve my money. Right now, in my opinion, you don't.

you do realize the euro is less valuable than the us dollar right? so in the long run they make out far better in the deal
