With our Name Your Geologist contest having drawn to a close, we would like to offer you a new writing challenge! An acrostic poem is a poem in which the first letter, syllable or word of each line spells out a word or a message. (Click
here for the Wikipedia entry on acrostic writing.)
We want you to
write an acrostic poem inspired by the Settlers franchise!
Here is an example of an acrostic poem (written by me!) that spells out the word
mayor:
Maintaining the plentiful bounty;
Acquiring men and land.
You only live once,
Or die trying.
Remember, remember the 5th of November.
Prize: Five
random entries will receive
500 gems each!
Rules:- Your entry must be an acrostic poem and must be written by you.
