    Possible UI Improvements

    I found this game. Can't leave the chair now. Thanks guys

    Over the course of the last week, I've noticed some things that have some room for improvement. These are just ideas, not a list of complaints or anything. Some of you veteran players will probably just yell 'Lazy!' but that's alright, get it out =) I don't really feel any of the ideas I have would really effect game play, but just overall improve upon the usability of the game and it's interface. (In other words, please don't eat me)


    Details Tab - Would be nice if you clicked on a building, hit details, that tab would stay open as you clicked through other buildings, without having to repeatedly click the details tab each time (Lazy!)

    Exhausted Resources - A little icon over the depleted mine/well would be nice to make locating them easier, but during some discussion in the help channel (yeah yeah), another idea was invoked. This ties into the 'news' tab a little as well. Considering the news tab is blank each time you log in (assuming you closed the tab, logged in from another pc, shut your laptop off at night, etc), it can make some updates and information hard to find. My idea was to have a News Printer building. It could use paper as a resource, maybe nib, etc.. Anyways, the idea is that the news printer could give you a paper each day (maybe just a popup icon, or even a list of the last weeks worth of paper). The paper would basically give you all of the information that would come up in your News tab, including the things you'd normally miss while not being online. To expand, it could even give a summary of your battles for the day (not detailed like the mails, but just a general summary '1000 soldiers dead, new territory conquered), maybe show a small section of a few of your top friends achievements over the last day. The important part for me here is the part of the 'news' tab you miss while being offline, but it could definitely be expanded upon to make a more newspaper style feel.


    Toolbar - I really like how the Trade Office and bulding menu do not prevent you from clicking the other toolbar buttons. If you click another, the current window closes and it brings up the menu you clicked on. This functionality would be nice to have across the entire toolbar.

    View All Deposits button - Just a simple button, that would pop up all fish deposits, mines, trees, etc with their available resources left. Not much to explain here, similar to clicking on a fisherman and seeing the fish deposits. Just everything at once so you can look around.


    Well, that's all I have for the moment. Gotta get back to the game!

    I see no suggestions area other than an archived testing forum. (Which is locked)

    Who cares where the thread is located, its the idea/suggestion that matters!

    Very good points made here. ultimately i would call these low importance, since they don't hinder dramatically the game play/game flow.

    But, these should be done, ASAP.

    Good ideas. Suggestions. Forum rarely gets. Bb attention because. People don't read it much to have a discussion or comment on it. And thus bb. Ignores it. But when people are vocal and a thread gets long. Bb starts to pay attention. I've noticed this to be the case on testserver and threads. Not in suggestion bin.
