    Lightbulb Forester Building and tree spawn location Idea

    I know almost everyone has said this at least once when building in the Home area. The Trees and Bushes are in the way. we should have the ability to clear our island of trees so we can make a town/village that looks good and not worry about trees or bushes blocking a design.

    My idea it that the Forester for each tree type when placed allows you to set a spawn location where they replant the saplings. Just like a normal area with trees, buildings will not be able to be placed there and it allow for people to make eye catching towns.

    **Edit**
    Island Clearing:
    The areas that are cleared by wood cutters would become build-able, assuming it is not on the water line or over mountains. the island would have a nice area to create works of art or production chains. much like what apple farms and parks are like.

    Foresters:
    The forester would be limited to the area selected, multiple forester can work the same area just as they do now. the area selected would become unbuild-able and used for spawning trees for what ever type your forester was selected for.

    Alt idea:
    Make an option in the building menu/toolbox tab to Clear/Add forested areas.
    *The 'Clear' option would block foresters from re-spawning the area and mark it as open for building area.
    *The 'Add' would blocking the area from building and allow foresters to replant the area.
    This option could allow for a simple overlay function. Leave the normal starter map and tree spawn location as is but allow for specific areas areas to be opened for building.

    You can actually clear your trees already. If you leave foresters in the red to not plant and only place cutters, they will clear the trees after the resource deposit is depleted. This means that you will eventually run out of wood as the deposits are not being refilled. We can pass your idea of making the deposit locations moveable on to the developers. Thanks for your suggestion.

    I think what he wants is to have trees be cleared and make the area buildable. Currently the trees do get cleared BUT the area has stumps and can't be built on.

    So his idea is to allow players to decide where their forester plants his trees. The problem with his idea is that the current behavior of forester is they plant trees at each fixed deposit until the 'cap limit' of that deposit is reached and he moves to the next deposit. So setting a deposit with a marker you need to have some balance on what is considered the max deposit limit. Maybe 2 or 3 deposit makers are needed? Or maybe just have a new build type (like wheat field/wells) that sets the markers on to a 1x1 area tile. This might be a better idea than having to add a new interface for setting spawn points with markers via forester. And just leave the forester behavior to be the same.


    Suggestion:
    Tree deposits can be cleared out on the current island automatically by cutters.
    New building type that is a deposit marker to set new markers ( that can't be cleared but can be depleted and deleted if you manually choose.)

    Sorry i though i had said it in a way that was clear but RonEmpire is correct on how i would like to have the area cleared and make area build-able. then you can have a forester set to plant trees in an area you select. I will reedit my post to be more clear on how i want the area and foresters act

    like in one of the older ANNOs the geo could go out and clear land. need a tree stump removale skill for the geos
